The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join the Consumer Insights & Analytics team as a Consumer Analytics Lead and support the organization with consumer insight and analytics relative to global consumers and markets of Harley-Davidson products, services, and experience. The Consumer Analytics Lead will provide data science thought leadership and technical expertise across all areas of the Consumer Insight & Analytics group.


Here’s what you’ll do:

• Effectively analyze and distill data into patterns, trends, and insights.

• Develop and implement demand forecasting models, taking into account relevant customer, product, geography, industry and economic variables.

• Develop and implement modeling and experimental design, including analysis planning, analysis execution, interpretation and statistical communications support.

• Lead market research optimization activities; develop scenario simulations and determine sample size calculations to support required levels of margin of error.

• Lead development and implementation of team’s use of advanced analytics methods and tools.

• Lead the team’s application of appropriate statistical methods and generation of accurate and reproducible results.

• Produce clear, concise, well-organized, and error-free modeling programs and statistical reporting content; communicate results in a manner appropriate for the given audience.


Education Required

A Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred.

A Master’s Degree in Statistics, Analytics, Economics, Computer Science or a related field is preferred.


Experience Required

• Position requires a minimum of 8 years work experience.

• Proficiency in the use of statistical software is required: SPSS, SAS, R and/or similar packages for study, experiment or research.

• Preferred experience in the area of consumer, retail and market insights – preferably with consumer brands.

• Proven ability to integrate data from many sources to identify challenges, opportunities and implications to achieving business goals.

• Knowledge of statistical methodology, including experience with modeling and simulations, with proven ability to apply high quality statistical methodology in assigned projects.

• Strong applied analytical skills including experience with Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Global perspective and understanding, thinking across borders and cultures.
