Job Details

Our organization is looking for a Data Analyst/Planner to become part of our multi-disciplinary team working to solve major challenges in the automotive market for Honda. The role guides design and engineering teams creating mobility concepts for the future by providing market condition and opportunity forecasts, customer insights and product/service requirements coupled to winning strategies. R&D relies upon our division to envision the future, guide innovation and propose the direction for the R&D function and its output.

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Analysis of large amounts of automotive market data, including customer understanding and competitor breakdown utilizing advanced techniques.
  • Creation of product proposals which provides support for corporate sales and profitability goals considering hardware, models and manufacturing locations.
  • Provide presentations to all levels of management.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in data science, computer science/engineering, business, business planning or related field and 5 - 7 years of relevant. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong, creative, analytical, verbal, communication and presentation skills with a commitment to sustainability and efficiency. Ability to evaluate data using statistical techniques and software/databases.
  • Knowledge of the automotive market, industry changes/challenges, evolving consumer behavior, and new business models.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work overtime and travel as required by projects.

     

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in MS Windows applications, with a strong emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, quantitative/mathematical skills and financial acumen.
  • Experience with statistical and financial modeling with spreadsheets.
  • Experience querying relation databases and data mining large datasets.
  • Exposure to VBA, SAS, SQL.
  • Experience with JD Power and NVES data is a plus.
  • Ability to operate automobiles with manual transmission and knowledge of automotive technologies is a plus.
