About Our Team :

As a valued member of the team at eBay that develops world-class behavior analytics product as well as generate insights through data science, you will make important contributions.

Design and build behavioral data insights platform, deliver analytics product, combine qualitative and quantitative data to convince people with your actionable insights thus improve the user experience, which is what you need to do. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Implement proof-of-concept prototypes for data collection, analysis, and presentation.
  • Define, design, troubleshoot, and debug complex, multi-tier distributed software applications on eBay platform.
  • Work with manager, engineers, product management, QA and Operation team to design and implement application features.
  • Estimate engineering effort, plan execution cycles, and rollout system changes.



  • 6+ years’ work experience in software development area with at least 5+ years’ experience in Java programming.
  • Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience of Hadoop, Map/Reduce, Cascading, Kafka, Storm, Hbase etc is preferred;
  • Web application development skills are a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus in a high velocity, high quality environment.
  • Strong communication skills in Oral and Written English.
