Marketing leads the development of integrated marketing strategies across Wells Fargo's 90 plus business lines and national geography. The group is responsible for brand strategy and advertising, database and experiential marketing including the company's 12 history museums, integrated program and product development, market research and related customer analytics, and diverse segments strategy and business development.

We are looking for an experienced data scientist to join the marketing sciences team who is passionate about data and applying leading edge machine learning technology to solve business problems. In this role you will help transform our vast amount of data into amazing customer experience and customer success. Your work will have an impact on millions of customers. Your responsibilities may include the following:

  • Lead the research and development of cutting edge machine learning technologies to predict customer behavior and optimize customer outcomes.
  • Work with other team members to brainstorm and prototype innovative ideas to enhance customer experience.
  • Work with internal customers to understand their problems and help develop innovative solutions to these problems.
  • Discover and explore the use of new sources of internal and external data which provide additional customer insight.
  • Work with stakeholders to help translate and implement the technologies you develop into world-class products.
  • Act as a mentor for more junior team members.
  • Act as a consultant to other teams for AI and machine-learning related projects.

**Open to multiple locations across the US including CA, NC, MN, IA, NY, AZ, WA, TX etc.**

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in an advanced scientific or mathematical field
  • A master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
  • 4 + years of experience using quantitative machine learning techniques
  • 4 + years of experience building predictive models
  • Proven track record in developing innovative machine learning solutions to business problems
  • Deep understanding and strong hands-on experience in machine learning and data science: e.g. predictive models, classification, collaborative filtering, deep learning, reinforcement learning, Markov models, generative adversarial networks, graph algorithms, etc.
  • Experience with big data, big data algorithms, and big data platforms: e.g. Hadoop & Spark
  • Strong experience with machine learning development languages such as Python and R
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and to explain complex concept
