Position Overview

DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:

This role will be responsible for applying data analytics /data science to provide insights and business intelligence and partnering with the Marketing Strategy and Insights (MS&I) function, at global level, to define their data strategy, serve as the single owner of technology roadmap for product lines and prioritizing themes for the delivery teams. Serve as the IT Portfolio Delivery Manager and as a data expert consultant, understanding the BI and analytics space extensively, with a focus on the consumer and customer space. This role will drive delivery through partnership with the BI team and drive governance of technologies deployed in a portfolio as well as within the different Business Units via the BU IT leads and/or the Strategy and Insights BU leads.

This role will coordinate with business clients, IT to collect, clarify and translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation, process models, and data models (using appropriate tools like Splunk) and develops predictive analytics using statistical tools and models. The ideal candidate should be proficient in data mining and visualization tools to build, maintain and improve dashboards. Additionally, this role is responsible for defining (and/or redefining) business needs for new and/or enhanced products, services, or optimized business processes.

 

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

  • Build sustainable and trustful relationships with the senior leaders within MS&I at corporate and BU level, as a basis for driving strategic IT changes from an ‘operational excellence’, ‘initiative management’ and ‘innovation’ perspective
  • Engage with Global IT to understand and influence BI and Analytics capabilities being built for global leverage, and to stay abreast of standards in terms of data, processes, business solutions, technology, policies, etc.
  • Pro-actively promote best practices and seek for cross-BU/bottler IT synergies by leveraging common technologies, solutions, processes and vendors, that support the business strategy, delivering short and long term business value
  • Direct the alignment of MS&I strategy and business plans, build a convergence plan to drive standardization but at the same time influence and push the creation of IT capabilities that are responsive to the local needs in terms of growth objectives and cost saving targets
  • Build, or help building a cross-BU/Bottler governance board to formalize the collaboration and decide on priorities and trade-offs, influence involved stakeholders to fund prioritized programs
  • Steward program execution through the Global IT Delivery teams or vendors to achieve the predetermined value, calculate realized benefits
  • Ability to quickly explore, examine and understand complex problems and how it relates to the customer’s business and provide solutions
  • This job requires analyzing big data using proven statistical tools and techniques to find patterns on past failures and predict future failures.This job must solve data mapping, data validation problems and create programs to visualize data for all stakeholders.
  • This job holder has to make critical decisions on accuracy and completeness of the data being processed. MS&I will be making business decisions based on dashboards and reports created by this job holder.
  • Collect and document detailed business requirements for searches, reports, and dashboards
  • Design and create reports, and dashboards for business use cases; act as a power user and provide assistance to the business user community and serve as level 0 support for reporting issues
  • Determine needed data source for interfacing with GIT on implementation of new data sources and indexes

Requirements

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field; MBA a plus

Related Work Experience: 7-10 years of experience

  • 7+ years of experience in a technology / FMCG sectors.
  • Extensive understanding of the BI and analytics space with special focus on the consumer and customer space
  • Experience working for an Agency or company that works with marketing and/or consumer data to do promotions analysis, the complexity around tagging, and data standardization.
  • Proven experience building sustainable and trustful relationships with senior leaders
  • At least five years of working experience with big data systems.
  • Strong command of data architecture and data modeling techniques.
  • Hands on experience with commercial data mining tools such as Splunk, R or similar software.
  • Strong foundational statistical skills.
  • Strong communication skills – adept at communicating with business and technical stakeholders\ Data Science - Ability to use data and apply robust analytics to model various business scenarios and analyze resulting cost, impact, risks, and benefits to inform and recommend business solutions.
  • IT Strategy Development - Ability to influence the IT strategies and business plans, build a convergence plan for alignment to the Company IT strategy, and coordinate execution.

Functional Skills
