Our Data Science and Innovation team is responsible for driving data driven insights & innovation across the organization.

As a Senior Analyst on the team, you will be tasked to leverage your data science toolkit in innovative ways to drive value within United Airlines. You will be working on a wide range of problems from driving incremental revenue growth through our marketing channels to developing processes in which we can leverage data science to improve customer satisfaction.


Some Of The Responsibilities Include

We are seeking creative, driven and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy tackling tough problems with data and insights.

  • Develop and deliver solutions to business problems using ML/AI approaches and methodologies
  • Extracts data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models and project development
  • Prepare and present findings and analysis. Ensure alignment with stakeholder objectives and enterprise goals - drive faster, smarter decisions
  • Keep track of new technologies to get ahead of competition and create analytics as a competitive advantage for United
  • Explore and define new applications of AI / Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning / ML and demonstrate business value.



  • Bachelors in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics etc with at least 5 years of overall experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in at least one of the following: Machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistics or data mining
  • Strong experience with Python or R
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in advanced quantitative techniques
  • Ability to quickly understand, process and consume industrial scale databases using SQL
  • Excellent communication skills to work with multiple cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of intellectual curiosity with data



  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Advanced Analytics or related field
  • Experience in building automated analytical systems E.g. recommendation engines, * * * Natural language processing systems etc
  • Experience with Computer Vision applications
  • Experience with optimizing pre-existing algorithms for accuracy and speed
  • Knowledge of deep learning algorithms
  • Knowledge of Java / Scala
  • 2+ years’ experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning based applications
