General Purpose

The Senior Data Analytics Internal Auditor will primarily be responsible for developing, assembling, and distributing the analytics needed to support Nokia’s Internal Audit teams prior to the start of audit fieldwork activities. The Auditor will also have responsibilities in addressing ad-hoc analytics requests which may come from the Internal Audit Leadership Team. From time to time, the auditor may also support and participate in Internal Audits focused on financial, operational, IT, or ethics & compliance risks.


Main Responsibility Area

Works with the relevant Internal Audit Directors and Internal Audit team members to continuously define and outline the analytics best needed for the audits conducted by the Internal Audit organization. Develops the necessary analytics to support Internal Audit engagements, and supports the Internal Audit team members as appropriate in the interpretation and clarification of analytics output. Must be able to present and support analytics results and conclusions to leadership functions across Nokia.


Position Description

  • Identify and acquire the necessary data from relevant source systems used by Internal Auditors to develop the data analytics needed to support the Audit team
  • Work with Internal Audit team members, IT, and the Business to outline data requirements, and obtaining the necessary accesses to acquire data
  • Publish analytics results to the Internal Audit teams, and provide support / training as necessary to interpret and refine the results of the analytics provided
  • From time to time, conduct financial, operational, and IT internal audit projects according to the Nokia Internal Audit plan, performing fieldwork at worldwide Nokia locations - travel = 10-20%
  • Work with Internal Audit teams for analytics which can be performed during fieldwork activities
  • prepare and present to all levels of Nokia management the results, recommendations, and conclusions of analytics which may be performed
  • perform ad-hoc analytics requests


Position Requirements

  • college degree majoring in analytics, information systems, accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, or other business related field required
  • professional certifications preferred, e.g., ACL certifications, CPA or Chartered Accountant, CIA, CMA, etc.
  • advanced degree in analytics (i.e. MS Business Analytics, Masters Data Analytics, Masters Information & Data Science) is a plus
  • must be proficient with ACL;
  • familiarity with data visualization tools (i.e. Qliksense, Qlikview, Tableau) is a plus
  • advanced MS Excel skills required with MS Access skills a plus
  • SAP system familiarity is required
  • prior financial, operational audit experience desired
  • strong knowledge of internal controls required
  • ability to "think outside the box" and apply creative and constructive thinking to proposed recommendations for improvements to internal process, procedures and policies
  • excellent communication and listening skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
