Title: CHACE Data Scientist - 55261

Your Responsibilities

As a CHACE Data Scientist for John Deere located in East Moline, IL you will collaborate with business and analytics leaders to general insights for the platform and enterprise teams, including for new products, problem resolution, and continuous improvement, and support the JD Connected Support Strategy. In addition, you will:

  • Perform statistical analysis of moderately complex data from multiple sources including JD Experience, data loggers, CAN bus information, JD Link data, DTC's, warranty data, DTAC, EDPR, ELIPS, EID, and EETS
  • Use statistical techniques, such as advanced data visualization, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, optimization, SAS Text modeling, tableau, and machine learning
  • Collaborate with organization for Expert Alert ideas, develops and authors Expert Alerts in PEGA
  • Participate in Enterprise CoP's for ACE teams, present to leadership of CHACE Steering Committee
  • Teach others in the appropriate use of analytical tools and statistical methods
  • Provide coaching and support to offsite extension of team
  • Serve as a contributing member to several Community of Practices of a strategic nature: Design for Data, Connected Support, and Aftermarket Enablement Center

What Skills You Need

  • 4 or more years of experience applying statistical analysis in making recommendations
  • 4 or more years of experience in a data analytics role
  • 4 or more years of experience in mining data for analytics insights
  • 1 or more years of experience using statistical tools like SAS, Tableau, SPSS, SQL, R, Pega
  • 4 or more years of internal or external industry specific experience in relevant discipline such as Quality, PVV, Product Design, or Customer and Product Support
  • Proven communication skills both written and oral
  • 4 or more years of experience working in a team environment
  • 1 or more years of project management experience with small strategic projects or larger tactical projects
  • John Deere product knowledge

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

  • 4 or more years of experience with any of the following tools: SAS, E-Minor, R and/or Python
  • 4 or more years of experience in providing estimates of the value of proposed projects, and prioritizing opportunities
  • 1 or more years of Crop Harvesting product experience or knowledge

Education (or Equivalent Work Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, data analytics, or statistics
