As a Lead Data Analyst on the North America Publisher Intelligence team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data infrastructure as well as using that infrastructure to provide actionable data analyses for our business. This requires not only deep analytical and modeling skills but also the ability to develop strategic recommendations based on analysis and communicate and operationalize them, often in conjunction with various cross-functional stakeholders.

The Publisher Intelligence team members are responsible for turning their analysis into action, socializing their recommendations with stakeholders across OPG and Google to drive changes to business processes, go-to-market approach and product strategy.

Google helps our partners find better ways to reach their audiences and manage their digital businesses. In return, our partners provide great content for our products, and they syndicate Google products to enhance their sites and apps. Global Partnerships team members expand and support these relationships by continually finding new opportunities and solving technical problems for our partners. The wider Global Partnerships team includes a variety of different organizations, including CorpDev, Emerging Business Development, Strategy and Operations, Google for Startups, Area 120 and our Display Advertising Business.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain critical data infrastructure for OPG including back-end data tables, data pipelines and dashboards.
  • Lead individual analytical workstreams, often to senior level stakeholders across Google, influencing fundamental investment and go-to-market strategies.
  • Provide leadership in identifying and initiating analytical projects that will drive business impact for OPG requiring both an understanding of internal Google operations as well as external market trends.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst, product analyst, consultant or a leader for such a team.
  • Experience managing and querying datasets using SQL or other languages.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree of a quantitative nature (Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, etc.).
  • Experience with scripting and data analysis languages, such as Python and R.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
